I really enjoyed Wynter's Horizon. It takes you back to college and through the waves of joy, heartbreak, and everything in between. At its core, it's about a girl trying to find herself. A girl who falls down after a terrible tragedy and gets herself trapped in relationship with the wrong guy due to a shared secret neither is willing to come to terms with.This girl, Wynter Murello, is unraveling before our eyes. And nothing you shout at the book is stopping her. Until she crosses paths with a stranger who picks her up, but later disappears. Beck intrigues Wynter as he weaves in and out of her life, but his world puts her in a different sort of danger that she must either run from or embrace.
While the supernatural storyline is central to the book, at the heart of it is a very real story about the path to self-forgiveness and finding inner strength. The characters are well-written and relatable. Their actions force us to look at the different shades of "good" and "bad" and think about how we judge those qualities in others as well as in ourselves. May entertains as she explores of the concept of trust, self-realization, and the true meaning humanity. Highly recommended.

This book is very descriptive and the author really nails the male perspective in my opinion. I highly recommend that you read this book if you have ever been to college, and want to re-visit those great years. I cannot wait to read this author's future creations!!!

A pleasure to read and a highly recommended page-turner!
I felt this was realistic story of a young adult facing difficult struggles brought upon as a result of a terrible accident causing her to lose a close friend and deal with her own character flaws. Then the introduction of a group of super human beings into the plot in a manner that energized the action and suspense made this a novel I truly enjoyed and could not put down until the story was completed. I found the authors technique of switching between Wynter and Beck to tell portions of the story to be interesting and clever. I enjoyed the story's action and fighting episodes, along with the struggles between a number of "good" and "villainous" characters made this a wonderful tale.
For a first book, author Dee C May has nailed it. Her heroine, Wynter, made a mistake and has been paying for it ever since. Only the intervention of Beck, a man with problems himself, helps her to find her way back to peace and love. The way May has written the story with alternating points of view allows the reader to understand the internal battles each character is fighting.
I can't wait for the second book.
